Two phase second floor addition
This is phase 1 of 2 second floor plans anticipated. It looks as if the whole second floor was added at one time. It was lightened up so it would not still appear as dark brick. It also takes on characteristics of the historical justice building to which it is attached.

The Catoosa County Justice Building addition and renovation includes the second floor addition in white, as contrasted with the existing red brick. This is a two phase job and architecturally ties together the historic county courthouse with a later modern facility. It uses the cornice and precast "belt line" of the historic building and the expansive glass of the modern addition of 30 years ago. A much needed ADA lift and new south entry was added along with security measures. White was chosen for the second story to go along with the trim of the historic building and to "lighten" up what would have been a very dark and uninviting courthouse.
