RINGGOLD, GA

The Ringgold Historic Depot was around in the Civil War. I was asked to rehabilitate it from the existing photos shown to be a civic center for weddings, business meetings, plays, musicals, etc. Items incorporated in the design are lighting from the ground up so as to not disturb the historic building, a deck to match the original, ADA ramp, stage with chair/table storage underneath, preservation of a section of old warehouse floor and the old scales surrounded by a high table railing, a concessions stand, audio booth on a second level, lighting to show off the historic trusses, retaining the historic sliding barn doors inside but adding storefront real access doors, providing a landscaped area with a Civil War monument complete with soldier names and commanders on bricks facing the flag they served.
